EU-wide Big Brother database is abhorrent

Again, the the Labour “Government” are using George Orwell’s 1984 as an instruction manual, not a warning. They have agreed that other EU countries can access the existing BigBro databases (driver registration, fingerprint and DNA). Well, that’s just great. Now, if anyone’s suspected of a crime (note, suspected) they can be speedily extradited under the EU Arrest Warrant to face trial or provide an alibi.

Nothing like innocent until proven guilty, eh? I can hear people screaming “IF YOU’VE GOT NOTHING TO HIDE, YOU’VE GOT NOTHING TO FEAR” now… Again, more rights to privacy and freedom have been given away by Labour. Obviously, the Labour’s propoed uber-database of every phone call, email and web site visit will also be available to the EU, to most undemocratic organisation out there.

Reportage here and here.

The Running Man (flu)

Ok, been ill for a few weeks with that dreaded man-flu, plenty of stuff going on in the news that I need to unload on (Karen Matthews, welfare state, Gordon Brown “saving the world”, Manchester congestion charge, the EU forcing another referendum on Ireland, etc.)…

but I just caught the video for Utah Saints’ Something Good 08. I know it’s been out for ages, but there you go. Anyway, as a chap who’s sole dance move was The Running Man, it spoke to me on a personal level – plus, I’m a sucker for well-choreographed, synchronised dance routines :) Watch and enjoy!

QUALITY :D
