Han Solo P.I.

This is just sheer genius, it’s basically Magnum P.I.’s opening with clips from Star Wars, and is very well done:

Slap chop rap remix

I like techno music (grew up in the late 80s / early 90s, lots of cool Chicago House and Electro), and I kind of love informercials, so this is just dandy!

Thanks to Darren Holden for the link :-)

In the face of swine flu…

…mankind’s humour wins out: :)

Bike Parkour

Danny MacAskill is definitely new to the planet:

Amazing stuff :) I see modern buildings, with their stark, sterile architecture and then I see parkouristas, free runners, skateboarders, etc. making use of it in incredible ways – a testament to man’s ingenuity…

Some talented folk here :) It encapsulates the whole of Kill Bill 1 and 2 and contains comic violence:

What’s the difference between…

Q: What’s the difference between Bernard Madoff and Gordon Brown?

A: One has drained fortunes from gullible victims, plundering their income and savings to create an illusion of prosperity. The other is going to jail. :D

From Jeff Randall’s article in The Telegraph, worth reading in its entirety.

The Daily Show on Gordon Brown’s US visit

Here’s Jon Stewart’s humorous take on The Man Who Saved The Banks and Maybe The World ®:

Ah, Jon Stewart – pointedly correct as usual. He calls Gordon a nerd, which is quite tame…

Incredible music video

Here’s a tune made by Kutiman from lots instructional music videos:

Seriously, is there nothing the internet can’t do? :D

Hat-tip: I got this from Cracked’s Top Picks, who in turn got it from Fark.

An alternative Watchmen trailer

If you’ve not read Alan Moore’s incredible Watchmen graphic novel – don’t. Not yet, anyway. Go see the film (out in March), then read it. Or, read it, then see the film, it’s up to you. Either way, see the film and read the book ;)

Here’s an alternative take on the official trailer (needs audio, natch):

The Running Man (flu)

Ok, been ill for a few weeks with that dreaded man-flu, plenty of stuff going on in the news that I need to unload on (Karen Matthews, welfare state, Gordon Brown “saving the world”, Manchester congestion charge, the EU forcing another referendum on Ireland, etc.)…

but I just caught the video for Utah Saints’ Something Good 08. I know it’s been out for ages, but there you go. Anyway, as a chap who’s sole dance move was The Running Man, it spoke to me on a personal level – plus, I’m a sucker for well-choreographed, synchronised dance routines :) Watch and enjoy!
