MPs’ expenses – yet more shenanigans

Apparently, MPs will be able to redact (look it up) parts of their expense claims before they are published later this year. What part of honourable still applies to this sorry shower? We have a Home Secretary who, whilst filddling her second home allowance, claims porn for her husband and we pick up the tab. Mr & Mrs Balls also “have done nothing wrong” on their second home allowance, but that doesn’t mean it’s right, does it?

And now this, allowing the very people who fought tooth and nail to keep their expenses secret will be allowed to edit them before publication? It’s a joke, and not a funny one. When will they wake up and see how deeply disillusioned (i.e. pissed off) the voting public are of them? Do they not realise the exceptionally low esteem they are now held in? Incidentally, this isn’t a Labour thing, too many MPs of all parties have their snouts in the trough, and it’s got to stop. At least Brown is doing the right thing by bringing the inquiry into MPs’ second home allowances forward, he’s gone up a notch in my estimation – he’s now on notch -2,176,287 ;)
